Below are the general terms and rights that apply to your order. They inform you of your rights, and if you have any questions, we are happy to help. These terms and conditions cover topics such as the company you are ordering from, how to place an order, pricing, delivery, cancellation and return rights, and warranty.

These general terms ("General Terms") apply when you (“Customer” or “you”) place an order from the Tails of Trails (“Company” or “we”) online store at www.tailsoftrails.fi ("Webstore").

By accepting these terms, you confirm that you are either 18 years old or have the consent of a legal guardian and that you agree to comply with the terms. You also confirm that you have read and accepted the information regarding the collection of personal data and cookies.

We sell products to several jurisdictions, and these terms apply globally. However, depending on the country in which you reside, mandatory local laws may apply. We respect such laws, and none of these terms shall limit your statutory rights if those laws provide you with greater protection.

Orders
​
Your order is considered accepted and a purchase agreement is concluded once you receive an order confirmation from us. We recommend keeping this confirmation for future reference.

We may reject an order for various reasons, such as incorrect personal details or failed payment. We may cancel an order if the products are out of stock. In such a case, you will receive a refund, and we will inform you of any suitable alternatives if available. All ordered items remain our property until payment is received.

Customer Information

As a customer, you are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide. You are responsible for all orders placed using your login credentials. Please keep your login information secure. Notify us immediately if you suspect someone else has accessed your account.

Prices and Payments
​
All prices listed in the webstore apply to online purchases. Prices are displayed in the currency specified in the store and include VAT, unless stated otherwise. However, depending on your location, VAT may not apply to your order.

Unless otherwise stated, shipping costs are not included in the product prices and are added at checkout. Please also be aware of possible additional local charges such as currency conversion fees, card processing fees, sales taxes, or customs duties depending on your country of residence. These are at your own expense and are not refundable.

If incorrect pricing is listed in the store, we will offer the product at the correct price or provide the option to cancel the order.

Special Offers
​
From time to time, we may offer products at a discounted rate compared to those listed in the general terms. Such offers are valid only for a limited time or until the product is sold out, after which the regular prices will apply without further notice.

Shipping Terms
​
Products in stock are typically shipped within the business days stated in the online store. The estimated delivery time will be provided in your order confirmation. In case of delays, we will notify you and continue to monitor your order's progress.

You may cancel your order if the delivery is delayed by more than 30 days and the delay is not caused by you. Depending on the shipping method, you may be required to collect the product from a pickup point. You must collect your order within the time frame stated in the delivery notice. If not collected on time, fees may apply, and the order may be returned to us. We may also cancel your order if it's not picked up in time.

Please note that items with a special delivery time may take longer than usual to arrive. This will be noted on the product page in the online store.

Customers outside the EU are responsible for any customs duties and taxes. If you order from outside Finland, delivery may take up to 14 days. We ship worldwide, and shipping costs vary depending on the destination country.

Right of Withdrawal
​
You have the right to return your order within 14 days of receiving it. To return or exchange products, email us your name, address, email address, order number, and information about the items being returned or exchanged. Returns must be completed within 14 days of receiving our approval.

Please return items carefully packed, in their original packaging (if not damaged), clean, and unused. Note that the customer pays the return shipping costs.
Refer to the "Returns" page before initiating a return.

We will refund return shipping costs only if the item is incorrect or defective. Refunds are processed within 14 days of receiving the return and will be made using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to agreements involving:

Products whose price depends on market fluctuations beyond our control between the delivery and your cancellation

Warranty and Complaints

Your order confirmation serves as your warranty certificate. The warranty covers only original manufacturing defects. It does not cover normal wear and tear or damage caused by misuse or neglect.

Complaints must include sufficient information: your name, address, email, order number, and product details. Our first priority is to repair the item if possible. If not, we will offer a replacement with the same or a similar product. If that too is not possible, we will refund the product and return shipping costs.

Refunds are made using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

Limitation of Liability
​
Unless otherwise mandated by applicable law, our liability is limited to direct damages only. We are not responsible for any indirect damages, such as loss of income.

Intellectual Property Rights
​
The online store and all its content are the property of Tails of Trails OR its partners. This includes names, product images, graphics, design, layout, and services. No part of the content may be copied without our written permission.

Additional Terms
​
We are not responsible for any errors in product descriptions, pricing, or images, or for outdated product information. We reserve the right to correct such errors and update information at any time.

Images and size charts in the webstore are for illustrative purposes only and may not exactly match the product you receive. They are not a guarantee of exact appearance, size, or color.

We cannot guarantee that colors displayed on the website exactly match the product colors due to variations in screen settings, device displays, and lighting during photography. We aim to provide the most accurate and high-quality images possible.

Changes to the Terms

We reserve the right to update these General Terms at any time. Updated terms take effect when you accept them during a new purchase.

Governing Law and Disputes
​
These Terms are governed by Finnish law. Any disputes arising from this agreement that cannot be resolved by mutual agreement will be settled in the District Court of Lapland (Lapin käräjäoikeus).
